Writes he has arrived safely at camp at Navy Hill. Discusses meeting a Catholic priest on his travels whom he talked with about religious doctrines. Reports that the camp is set up and the men are enjoying themselves. The daughters of Richmond have visited. Explains that there are enough men (about 80) to form a company commanded by Maxcy Gregg, so they will be mustered into Confederate service.
