Moe wrote this letter as he was waiting for his barrack to pass inspection. He says the typical soldier doesn't understand what's really going on. They are ignorant and misinformed. He congratulates Sylvia on getting a raincoat.

It is Memorial Day and they have been given the day off. Moe used the time to rest and to write to Sylvia. He comments that she is becoming quite the executive, herself.
