Moe went out with Marty and Jack again. Otherwise he did not do much. had a few cakes, and then sat and talked, enjoying the weather.

Moe reports that the company made a little move. There are better accommodations here, better than any they've had so far. He says he has loved Sylvia's recent letters as they really made him feel better.

Moe writes that they have lifted the censorship for the time being and he can write a little more freely. He says he has started playing gin rummy again, and discusses the ongoing problems with the car.

Moe will be seeing Jack tomorrow. He discusses the pros and cons of the atomic bomb. He also says he is glad that Alvin is flying home, and asks after Olga.

Moe just heard the news that Russia will be entering the war. With their entry and the atomic bomb, it is a dead certainty the war will end soon.

Moe is awaiting the official announcement for acceptance of Japan's surrender. He went to Reims on Thursday night. He is also very glad Sylvia met up with Alvin. Written at Camp Boston

Moe discusses the possibility of moving into a bungalow like Mad, he is not too keen on the idea. He had a snack with the boys, and wonders what Alvin's position is now the war is so close to finishing. Written at Camp Boston

Moe has been taking a world history test for the past few hours. He notes that it is 22 months since he left the states. Marty was invited to be an interpreter for the purchase of champagne, he invited Moe to go with him. Written at Camp Boston

Moe writes that the end is very near. He says furloughs are flying around, he will try to get one for England. Though he wrote of a possibility of going home in a previous letter nothing is for certain anymore as they might have to go to the Pacific...
