Robert writes to to inform his father of his voyage to Scotland. He writes of the ill-treatment he had received from Captain Drommond "in kieping Me abord a month after coming to the River of Glaskow" and of the theft of a ring given him by his sister. He writes of his cold, gained from remaining on the ship, and asks to be remembered by his siblings. Also included is a letter from William Livingston to Robert, in which he writes his thanks in being entrusted with the education and upbringing of his nephew Robert. William also writes of his own sons, Andrew who was imprisoned at Carthagenia by the Spanish, and James of whom he has had no word. Docketed on address leaf.
