One letter from Lucile MacLeod to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated July 19, 1974. MacLeod supports the impeachment of President Nixon. She mentions partisan politics, the Watergate tapes, use of wiretaps, misuse of power by Nixon's staff, and other "impeachable actions" and writes, "If the President is not impeached, the American people will see clearly that American justice stops on the steps of high office; that crime is all right if you don't get caught, or if having been caught you can get away with it; that politicians on a national level can act in the same manner as the most corrupt Cook County precinct leader without fear of punishment."
