One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated October 2, 1944. He mentions that he stayed in on his last liberty. He received a letter from Malinda Graeff with a picture of her, and one of her borders. She also updated him on her daily life. Mentions Mr. Heller, Mrs. Otstot and Charles. He also mentions the bracelet that Susan and Raymond are sending him and how it must be very nice if Viola and Lil liked it so much. He never received the letter from Viola and wonders when she sent it. Mentions he also never received a package from June, and asks for advice on Christmas gifts. He comments that while June is not the most beautiful girl she makes up for it with her friendliness and personality. He hopes that Susan and June will meet one day. He also mentions Rosalina Fencil and Marguerite Graeff.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
