The carte de visites have been removed from the album and stored in individual sleeves. The collection of images is of Ward family members including Dr. and Mrs. Ward, Samuel Marshall Ward, and Elmira Ward. The album seems to have belonged to Samuel Marshall Ward. Also included among the carte de visite, is an obituary for Samuel Marshall Ward who died on 1 October 1903 at the age of fifty-eight.
