Eleanore Roosevelt is writing to Mr. Wronkow the founder of a German language newspaper titled Aufbau, which served German refugees during WWII. Roosevelt is thanking Wronkow for helping the non citizen acclimate to the country. Roosevelt also mentions that every family should have a garden (victory garden) which will provide food for the family and community and help with rationing.
