Thorp was tried for "abusing and plundering Margaret Weyman" and found not guilty of abuse but guilty of theft. The theft was made because Thorp had property stolen from him by Margaret's husband, who was "a vile Tory." Thorp was admonished. General Wooster approved the sentence in a short, signed note at the bottom.

Recently met with Count Rochambeau, hopes for aid in the form of manpower, naval support and supplies from the French. Also mentions "a secondary object, the reduction of Charles Town - Savanah." Written at "Head Quarters." On blue paper.

Also has payments due for various lengths of cloth as well as buttons, hooks, and thread. The total came to £86.3.3. Not signed, but appears to be in Joseph Billings' hand.
