TRAVEL
There are several options for traveling to and from Georgetown. The following are some guidelines to help plan your trip. The Dulles International Airport is located approximately twenty-five miles east of the Georgetown University Conference Hotel. Many participants may choose to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. There is a taxi stand outside the baggage claim area. Expect a taxi to be approximately $45.00 each way. Amtrak also offers service to Union Station in Washington, DC. The University web site also provides driving directions as well as maps of the campus.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Workshop participants will stay in a hotel within walking distance from the Georgetown University campus. Each room features cable or satellite television, internet connection, telephones, iron and ironing board, coffee/tea maker and hairdryer. The hotel will have on-site parking at the expense of each participant. Please note that seminar participants will be sharing rooms.

MEALS
Meals will be served at Georgetown University or at local restaurants and will be paid for by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

TEMPERATURE AND CLOTHING
In July the temperatures range from the 70s in the evening to the 80s and 90s during the day. Since it is difficult to predict the weather, pack articles of clothing that may be layered to accommodate a range of temperatures. In case of rain, be sure to pack an umbrella. Dress is casual during the day. Since you will be doing some walking, be sure to pack a pair of comfortable walking shoes and a head covering.

GRADUATE CREDIT
Pittsburg State University (PSU) is pleased to offer graduate credit to workshop participants at a tuition fee of $199 per credit hour.
