consideration the history standards, both required and
advanced, to which high school students are held. Each
module includes:

These modules were prepared by Steven
Mintz, the John and Rebecca Moores Professor of History
and the Director of the American Cultures Program at the
University of Houston. His books include A Prison
of Expectations: The Family in Victorian Culture,
The Boisterous Sea of Liberty: A Documentary History
of America from Discovery Through the Civil War and
Huck's Raft: A History of American Childhood.
