Elenore Roosevelt is writing to Mr. Wronkow the founder of a German language newspaper titled Aufbau, which served as a information desiminater to German refugees during WWII. Roosevelt is thanking Wronkow for helping the non citizen acclimate to the country. Roosevelt also mentions that every family should have a garden (victory garden) which will provide food for the family and community and help with rationing.
