Summary of Content: Photographs taken as part of the Hayden survey. This set of photographs was presented to members of Congress as part of a plea to make Yellowstone a public park. During conservation treatment in 1993, the photographs were removed from the album, and the album boards were stored separately. The album had the bookplate of Col. Bernard John Dowling Irwin. Irwin was credited with saving Lt. Bascam in February 1861 and later Gen. Custer.
