Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Diamond expresses concern about obtaining a pass. Sidney then describes his day, which has consisted of a review of chemical agents and first aid for casualties, being paid, a review of the 50 and 30 caliber machine gun, completing the obstacle course, a film on the identification of German aircrafts and a film on the weapons of the infantry
