Dear Sir
In hopes that you may be safely arrived i seize the first opportunity i can to Congratulate you upon it thoug i hope long to have the Certain tiding of it & though the distance wil be henceforth greater between us than before i hope that may not cause any distance in our sentiments of friendship. I do not know whether you were yet in ____ when the last riot took place ___? They were pretty heavy but attended with as bad consequences only some prisons were burnt with ___ Mansfield I think
