Harding's request to receive his papers was accepted, and the papers are enclosed. Glad to know that Harding is successful and does not need or wish for office. Regrets that he could not accomplish something for Harding when he did wish it as it would have been well deserved. In his last letter, Harding wrote that he "would not take nothing from the present administration." Hitchcock wants to know if Harding means that he does not "approve the course of the present administration, and therefore would accept nothing at its hands?" Would be glad to hear from Harding or to serve Harding as he may be able to.
